I got up at 3am to watch the sunrise over the Matanuska Valley. I hiked a higher vantage point just beside Pioneer Peak a icon of the Matanuska Valley to get a better view of the sunrising on Pioneer Peak. I summited my vantage point at about 4:45am just in time to see the first colors of light coming over the mountain peaks behind me. As the sun completely came out this is the view I saw. I took a panorama at 70mm to capture the entire mountain since it is so big.
